AFTERNOON PICK-ME-UP COURTESY OF DORIS DAY!!
Firstly, I HAD to post this photo... it's from the 1962 Doris Day film, That Touch of Mink...

Isn't that creepy and hysterical? I must say that I'm not entirely sure WHO that woman is... is it Doris? Forgive me.

ELIZABETH TAYLOR'S BEAUTIFUL SHORT HAIR 1950s

Not too long ago I stumbled upon this GREAT video of Liz on the game show, "What's My Line?" in 1954 (I posted previously Sue lyon's guest appearance). I just LOVE her here...she's amazingly beautiful, elegant, sweet and cute at the same time! AND, I LOVE her hairdo here! If I hadn't already cut my hair that short and grew it out long all over again, I would cut it! It just grows too slow and I hated it in that in between stage!
Here are some photos of that amazing short hair:

VINTAGE COMMERCIAL FUN WITH BUCKY THE BEAVER! (1950s)

Ever since I discovered these old commercials, I can't get that song out of my head!!!!
That little guy had many a fun adventure with his Ipana Toothpaste! I want some!
Although the popularity of Ipana Toothpaste declined in the United States during the 1970s, it was re-introduced in 2005 by River West Brands, a Chicago-based company. {via}

THE BEAUTIFUL BLONDE MARIE WILSON

Marie Wilson (19 August 1916 - 23 November 1972) Was an American radio, film, and television actress. Born Katherine Elisabeth Wilson in Anaheim, California, she began her show business career in New York City as a dancer on the Broadway stage.

In 1947 she gained national fame when she starred in the situation-comedy series, "My Friend Irma."

Marie also appeared in numerous comedies and performed in Ken Murray's famous Hollywood "Blackouts". During World War II.
"My Friend Irma" made it to the big screen in 1949 and it's sequel "My Friend Irma Goes West" in 1950. "My Friend Irma" also became a CBS televison program from 1952 to 1954.

I need this cake...now...

Below is an old Radio clip of My Friend Irma:
ALSO PEOPLE- - - STREET SCENE IS BACK!!! (See previous entry tag titled, "Street Scene.") I JUST posted about the movie, I Wake Up Screaming and how the song, "Street Scene" is played over and over and over in the film. Now, having read up on Marie Wilson, I found good 'ol Street Scene once again: the opening theme of, "My Friend Irma!!" CHECK IT OUT BELOW!!
This lady was a hoot! Definitely in need of a Marie Wilson tv/movie marathon!

Ahh! What holiday is it?!?!
